Coronavirus Updates: 62-year-old man dies in Amritsar, Punjab reports second COVID-19 death

Till now there have been 1024 COVID19 confirmed cases in the country, including 96 who have been cured or discharged.

Five more test positive for COVID-19 in Rajasthan; total cases reach 59

  • Five people, including three of a family, tested positive for the new coronavirus in Rajasthan on Sunday
  • This takes the total number of cases in the state to 59.
  • One of them is a 53-year-old woman with a heart condition who visited a private hospital in Bhilwara where a few doctors and nursing staff had tested positive for the virus.

Telangana will be coronavirus-free by April 7: KCR

  • Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday said there are 70 coronavirus positive cases reported in the state while 11 have been cured and tested negative and they shall be discharged on Monday.
  • Speaking at a press conference, Rao said: "All the necessary diagnosis is done and the patients are being discharged after the formalities. 58 people are under treatment."

Gold prices inched lower in today in global markets ahead of the US jobless claims data due later in the day. Spot gold was down 0.1% at $1,589.71 per ounce by 1050 GMT. A stronger dollar weighed on gold. In India commodity markets are closed due to a holiday. Telangana 10th Class SSC Public Exams postponed, new dates to be intimated. Hyderabad : The Directorate of Government Examinations on Monday postponed all the SSC Public Examinations scheduled to be held from March 31 to April 6 due to the lockdown extended till April 14 as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19 . Earlier, as per the directions of the High Court, the SSC Public Examinations that were to be held from March 23 to 30 were postponed. Director of Government Examinations A Satyanarayana Reddy said the rescheduled dates of SSC Public Exams and other exams would be intimated later.
